The "Friends of the Palestinian Red Crescent" (AMLRP) is an Italian association no - profit organization founded in 2003 by Italian writer and politician
Raniero La Valle and the Palestinian pediatrician Dr. Yousef Salman, a representative for Italy of the Palestinian Red Crescent (Red Cross).
The mission of
AMLRP is aimed at social solidarity and protection of human rights of persons disadvantaged because of sensitive political, social and economic.
In particular, the association AMLRP, in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent (Red Cross) and other NGOs (nongovernmental organizations),
promotes socio-medical aid and initiatives in support of motherhood and childhood, including the long-distance support of Palestinian children, orphans and / or wounded in war.
In order to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, the project provides distance support to Palestinian children in difficulty basic needs: food, health care, education and respect of their culture and identity, through the love of donors follow their
growth and participate in their daily lives.
Addition, to encourage and strengthen the initiation of a genuine peace process in the Middle East, guaranteeing conditions of true freedom for the Palestinian people, in keeping with UN resolutions, the association AMLRP proposes several initiatives and intercultural activities promoting
knowledge of the traditions, arts and identity of the Palestinians and other Middle Eastern peoples of the Mediterranean.
Currently, the association AMLRP is taking steps to build a health clinic in Palestine, in the town of Qabalan.
